Description

Ecological Dredging

The procurement regulations relating to dredging require the use of eco-friendly equipment and low-impact environmental procedures, based on selectivity, excavation precision, turbidity reduction, limitation of material losses, and operator safety.

The concept of **environmental dredging** does not only concern sediment extraction, but also includes the transport and final disposal of the material, avoiding dispersion at every stage of the process.

To meet these requirements, we have developed a **closed-circuit ecological dredging system**, as an alternative to traditional environmental grabs, which are often less productive and more expensive. This system minimizes the risk of material dispersion and allows the dredged material to be conveyed directly to the onshore treatment plant.

The pump dredger with **bucket disaggregator** offers several advantages compared to a grab dredger:

– Selective extraction with centimetric precision;

– Reduced turbidity during operations;

– Absence of suspended material;

– Direct closed-circuit transport to the Soil Washing plant;

– Higher productivity and extraction speed;

– Greater operator safety;

– Reduced environmental impact.

Thanks to its structure and its ability to work from top to bottom, the bucket disaggregator immediately conveys the material into the suction inlet, reducing sediment dispersion. The precision of the system allows operations to be carried out in parallel strips according to the dredging plan, ensuring controlled and uniform excavation.

The **Soil Washing** plant completes the environmental extraction process by separating and treating the dredged materials, concentrating pollutants in the fine fraction and returning water with parameters suitable for discharge, in compliance with environmental protection requirements and current regulations.
